Product Introduction
Box-type substation, abbreviated as box substation, is a compact complete set of power distribution equipment that combines high-voltage switchgear, distribution transformers, and low-voltage distribution devices according to a certain wiring scheme. The following is a detailed introduction:
High-voltage room: mainly includes high-voltage switchgear, ring main units, and other equipment. The high-voltage switchgear is used for switching, control, and protection in the distribution system, equipped with complete "five prevention" functions and mechanical interlocks to prevent misoperation. The ring main unit uses load switches as the main electrical components, featuring small size, relatively simple structure, and low operation and maintenance workload, suitable for 10kV ring network power supply, etc.
Transformer room: includes distribution transformers, busbars, and enclosed connecting lines. Distribution transformers are used to convert high voltage to low voltage, commonly oil-immersed transformers and dry-type transformers. Busbars are used to connect various electrical equipment and transmit electrical energy.
Low-voltage room: composed of low-voltage switchgear, low-voltage feeder circuit breakers, etc., used to distribute the electrical energy output from the transformer to different electrical devices or distribution networks.
Working Principle
The box-type substation converts the high voltage of the transmission line into low voltage through the transformer, and then distributes the low-voltage electrical energy to various electrical devices through the distribution devices. At the same time, various protection devices inside the box substation monitor the operating status of the power system. When faults such as overload, short circuit, or grounding occur, protection measures are taken promptly to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system.
Main Features
Advanced and reliable technology: The box uses excellent technology and craftsmanship, with good anti-corrosion performance of the outer shell. The inner panel uses aluminum alloy buckle plates, and the interlayer uses fireproof insulation materials, ensuring normal operation in harsh environments from -40℃ to +40℃. The primary equipment inside the box mostly adopts fully enclosed and fully insulated structures, achieving zero electric shock accidents. The entire station can operate oil-free, ensuring high safety.
High degree of automation: The entire station is designed intelligently, and the protection system uses substation microcomputer integrated automation devices, capable of "four remote" functions, namely remote measurement, remote signaling, remote control, and remote adjustment, meeting the requirements for unattended operation.
Factory prefabrication: All equipment is installed and debugged once in the factory. On-site installation only requires box positioning and cable connection, resulting in a short construction period, generally only 5-8 days from installation to commissioning.
Flexible combination methods: Each box forms an independent system and can be combined in various ways according to actual needs, such as full box-type substations or partial equipment installed inside the box and partial equipment installed outdoors.
Cost-effective and quick results: Compared with conventional substations of the same scale, investment can be reduced by 40%-50%. Due to the selection of advanced equipment, condition-based maintenance can be implemented, reducing maintenance workload and saving operation and maintenance costs.
Small footprint: Taking a 4000kVA single main transformer substation as an example, the box-type substation occupies only about 1/10 of the area of a substation of the same scale, making full use of spaces such as street centers, squares, and factory corners.
